Knowing how to grow

Knowing how to grow is probably one of the most critical things you need to understand, because sometimes in life you hit a plateau.

Sometimes in life you hit a plateau. You don’t feel you’re growing as an individual, you don’t feel that your business is growing, your numbers are going backwards, and you’ve just been writing the same things year in and year out.

Ivan Bresic, from BresicWhitney Estate Agents, and I sat down together and worked out the difference between level 1, level 2 and level 3 agents.

  • Level 1 agents write up to about $200,000 in fees and do about 20 transactions per year.
  • Level 2 agents do somewhere up to about $600,000 in fees and do about 40-50 transactions per year.
  • Level 3 type agents write over $1 million in fees and do in excess of 60 transactions per year.

From this outline we built a guiding framework for how to grow individuals from being a level 1 to a level 2 to a level 3 agent.

Coaching a team member how to grow is now a really easy process as I can identify their level and know immediately how to move them toward progress in their career.
